Freedomsat will be showcasing DVB-S2X and iDirect’s iQ modem

Bentley Walker | Freedomsat, the largest supplier and operator of VSAT Networks outside of North America, has launched a live DVB-S2X satellite service leveraging iDirect’s iQ Desktop and iDX 4.0 software. We have deployed the new service in the Middle East (namely Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya – and more coverage anticipated) with capacity from Avanti’s HYLAS 2 Ka-band satellite.

The DVB-S2X-based service will target a range of end users including consumer markets, small-to-medium enterprises, large corporate companies, Wi-Fi hotspots and military organizations.

This is the perfect solution for high speed satellite broadband, for corporate usage or a wide range of other applications. The DVB-S2X network will significantly reduce your capacity costs whilst the iDirect iQ modem will excel in performance, whilst being up to 30 times more powerful than existing modems.
